Ultimate Burger with Garlic Sauce
Ingredients
Burger Patties:
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
Toppings:
- 3 small onions, thinly sliced
- 4 thick tomato slices
- Olive oil spray
- lettuce for garnish
Sauce:
- 1/4 cup low-fat mayo
- 3 cloves freshly minced garlic
- 1 tsp garlic powder

Directions
- Combine ground beef, 1 small onion, 2 tsp garlic powder, and 1 tsp fresh ground black pepper. Separate and shape into 4 even burger patties.
- Heat barbecue to 400° F. Cook burgers on the barbecue on medium-high heat for 12 minutes, or until an internal temperature of 165° F is reached.
- Meanwhile, make sauce by combining mayo, minced garlic, and garlic powder; set aside.
- Fry 3 small onions in a small frying pan on medium heat sprayed with olive oil until soft.
- Once burgers are cooked, reduce barbecue temperature to low and lightly toast burger buns for 2 minutes.
- Layer onions, burger patty, tomato, and lettuce on the bottom half of the bun. Spread sauce on top half and top burger.
